Privacy policy

MowerIndex (mowerindex.com) is an independent review site operated by the MowerIndex editors. This page explains what information the site handles when you visit, and what it does not.

What we collect

MowerIndex has no accounts, no sign-up forms, no newsletter and no comment system. We do not ask you for your name, email address or any other personal details, and we do not sell or rent visitor data to anyone.

Server logs. The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like every web host, Cloudflare records standard request data (IP address, browser type, pages requested, time of request) to serve the site and defend it against abuse. That data is handled under Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Aggregate analytics. We may use privacy-respecting analytics to count page views and outbound clicks in aggregate. These tools do not build profiles of individual visitors, and we never see who you are.

Your browser's local storage. The compare tool remembers which products you have ticked by saving their IDs in your own browser's local storage. That information never leaves your device and you can clear it at any time through your browser settings.

Affiliate links and third-party cookies

MowerIndex is reader-supported. Many product links go to retailers through an affiliate programme, including the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. When you click one of those links, the retailer may set cookies on your device so that a purchase can be credited to this site. Those cookies belong to the retailer and are governed by its privacy policy, not ours. Amazon's is available at amazon.com/privacy. See our affiliate disclosure for how this affects (and does not affect) our rankings.

Children

The site is not directed at children under 13 and we knowingly collect no information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date at the top.
